Twenty years has whisked by since Jia Pengfang first set foot on the land of Japan.
2008 marked a beginning for another important chapter in Jia Pengfang's musical career.
"I have been fortunate enough to meet so many great Japanese musicians. I treasure those friends. On my new album, I've invited very special guests - all unique in their own ways, and we played together with the theme "Future" in our minds. The album is full of my feelings of gratitude towards everyone around me". Hearing him say this, we know that twenty years is not a goal for Jia Pengfang, but just another starting point.
The opening tune "DAYBREAK" was written by the great Japanese music master Katsuhisa Hattori. "I remember it like yesterday, when my dear teacher Mr. Hattori himself drove the car and took me to the immigration office. ItŐs a fond memory now". Hattori was the one who put a special effort into helping Jia Pengfang obtain an artist visa, so he can proceed with his musical career in Japan. Hattori took him under his wings, and backed up his musical efforts in this country. And here, he wrote a perfect tune to celebrate the opening of this album, a gallant number with a grand scale.
