We have produced "Asian Blossoms" and "road to OASIS" which are albums on journeys to Asia. This new album was made implementing many new elements and is the result of many trial and errors. Actually, it started with compositions to answer The Rumanian National Broadcast Orchestra's request this year for a full Orchestra Symphony by an Asian musician. The album was made inbetween the performances by the Chinese Symphony OrchestraAGeorges Enesco Phil. and other performances world-wide that followed one after the other. Perhaps it was a reaction to the concerts that the pieces became more percussive and also came to include human voices. The album contained more than ever, the feelings and elements of the journeys .
This album "Kurenai"(Crimson) is taken from the crimson coloring of the sunsets. We were wondering what to name the album as we were recording and the producer made the comment that "It seems you can see the sunset (in the album)". I have been seeking the meaning behind "why people are born" through the music and so I decided to let the Asian sunsets answer that one. The setting sun would answer my feelings for "landscapes" and "reason for living". What are the sunsets like seen from different regions of Asia? How big would they be? I let my imagination roam free as we progressed in our recordings. The sun would rise, the sun would set and dawn would come bringing a new day. The sun which set over all the lands during all the ages. The sun always rises. There is a feeling of sorrow in the setting sun but also a bright hope for tomorrow.
I wish to express my heartfelt appreciation for Mr. Yoshioka, the producer who had this insight into my music and to all the staff and artists who made this record possible. Also, my deepest appreciation for all those who bought this album. Thank you !
